A modern unmanned aerial system provided to the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body of the Republic of Armenia within the framework of international cooperation

Within the framework of cooperation between the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body of the Republic of Armenia and the Caucasus Nature Fund (CNF), the Inspection Body has been provided with advanced technological equipment. This includes a DJI Matrice 30T unmanned aerial vehicle, a DJI Matrice 4T drone, as well as seven laptops and supporting technical equipment.

The DJI Matrice 30T is equipped with thermal imaging and high-resolution cameras, enabling rapid detection of illegal activities and ensuring more accurate and comprehensive data collection.

The application of modern technologies:

• facilitates monitoring of remote and hard-to-reach areas,
• strengthens the evidentiary base within administrative procedures,
• reduces human and time resource expenditures.

Over the past three years, the use of unmanned aerial systems in the fields of subsoil use, biodiversity, atmospheric air, and water resource protection has significantly enhanced the effectiveness of supervision, environmental risk prevention, and rapid response.

The Inspection Body highly values its longstanding cooperation with the Caucasus Nature Fund and appreciates this support, which is aimed at continuously improving the technical capacity and effectiveness of the state oversight system.
