On February 17, at around 07:30, the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body of the Republic of Armenia received a report about a roe deer found by a citizen in the city of Ijevan, Tavush Province.
Upon arrival at the scene, inspectors established that a resident of Ijevan had noticed an approximately one-year-old roe deer with minor abrasions on its head and legs on a forest road near his house and had moved the animal to the yard of his household.
Following an external examination, the animal’s condition was assessed as satisfactory.
The inspectors then transported the deer to a forest area and released it back into the wild.
