Awareness-Raising Activities in Armavir Region by the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body

Deputy Heads of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body of the Republic of Armenia, V. Galoyan and L. Levonyan, visited Armavir Region and met with Governor Vahram Khachatryan, representatives of the regional police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, rescue services, heads of consolidated communities, and sectoral officials.

During the meeting, a number of agenda items were discussed, including air pollution, prevention of burning of crop residues and plant waste, measures to prevent open burning of waste in landfills and open areas, cleaning of accumulated waste and scrap metal along highways and roadsides, proper use of soil resources, and compliance with legislative requirements in the subsoil use sector.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the importance of closer cooperation between communities, law enforcement agencies, and the oversight body was emphasized to ensure rapid response to incidents and effective coordinated action.
