7 Illegal Wells Suspended in Ararat and Armavir – EPMIB

During inspections aimed at preserving water resources, the staff of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body identified cases of illegal water use in Ararat and Armavir regions.

In the village of Apaga, Armavir region, two individuals, and in Lusagyugh, one individual, exploited three illegal artesian wells for irrigation purposes.

In Noramarg, Ararat region, the company "River Land" LLC and one individual, in Arevabuyr, one individual, and in Nizami, one individual, illegally extracted water from four artesian wells without the necessary permits.

By decisions of the heads of the Armavir and Ararat territorial divisions of the Inspection Body, the operation of all seven illegal wells has been suspended.
