Illegal Well Operations Suspended by the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body

During supervisory measures aimed at protecting water resources, employees of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body of the Republic of Armenia identified four cases of illegal water use in the Armavir region.

In the Vagharshapat community, one illegal artesian well each was operated without a water use permit at gas stations owned by “Li Gaz”, “Arajin Tsitsernak”, and “Nerses Misakyan” LLCs, for compressor cooling and other technical purposes.

In the Voskehat settlement of the same region, “AGRO SOFYA” LLC used an illegal artesian well for irrigating its greenhouse operations, also without the required permit.

By decision of the Head of the Armavir Territorial Division of the Inspection Body, the operation of all four illegal wells has been suspended.
