Operation of 9 illegal wells suspended. EPMIB

During oversight activities aimed at protecting water resources in the Ararat Valley, inspectors of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body identified 9 cases of illegal water use in the Ararat and Armavir regions.

In the Ararat region, in the settlements of Masis, Noramarg, Darakert, and Artashat, 8 individuals were found to be operating a total of 8 deep wells for irrigation purposes without water use permits.

In the Armavir region, in the community of Parakar, the jewelry production company “Patila” LLC carried out illegal water extraction from 1 unauthorized well for both production and irrigation purposes, without the required permits.

By decisions of the heads of the Ararat and Armavir territorial divisions of the Inspection Body, the operation of all illegal wells has been suspended.
