EPMIB Suspends Illegal Water Extraction and Boiler House Operation at Greenhouse Farms

Inspectors of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body (EPMIB) have identified violations at three greenhouse farms in the Armavir and Aragatsotn regions.

In Araks village of Armavir region, A.A., and in Arshaluys village, S.H., operated one illegal deep well each without water use permits to provide irrigation for their greenhouse operations.

In Voskevaz village of Aragatsotn region, the individual entrepreneur “Narine Oniki Manukyan” conducted greenhouse farming activities without a permit for emissions of harmful substances into the atmospheric air from stationary sources.

By decisions of the heads of the Armavir and Aragatsotn territorial divisions of the Inspection Body, the operation of the illegal deep wells and the boiler house has been suspended.
