Advisory Working Group Holds Its Regular Meeting at the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body

Today, the regular meeting of the Advisory Working Group established under the Head of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body was held. The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Inspection Body, Hovhannes Martirosyan.

One of the key agenda items was the presentation of the digital transformation concept approved by the Information Systems Management Council of the Republic of Armenia. Mr. Martirosyan emphasized that digital transformation is not merely a technical process but a strategic instrument for enhancing the transparency, efficiency, and effectiveness of environmental inspection and enforcement.

During the constructive discussion, participants presented a number of proposals aimed at introducing modern technological solutions. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of automated data collection and analysis systems, which will enable more timely responses to environmental challenges and support data-driven decision-making.

Another agenda item focused on the Inspection Body's participation in the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP17). Participants discussed the format of the Inspection Body's representation at the conference, as well as opportunities for the active involvement of the Advisory Working Group members in the preparation process.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Martirosyan thanked the members of the Advisory Working Group for their active participation and professional contributions, noting that all constructive proposals presented during the meeting will be taken into account in the next stages of organizing and implementing the planned activities.
