The Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body received information regarding a wolf being illegally kept in the Tsovagyugh community of Gegharkunik Province.
As part of the administrative proceedings initiated in connection with the case, an inspection established that a resident of Tsovagyugh, identified as M.A., was keeping two wolves in an enclosed structure in the yard of his residence without the permits required by law.
On 4 August, through the joint efforts of inspectors of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body and specialists from the “Yerevan Zoo” SNCO, one male and one female wolf were safely transferred to the zoo.
Upon arrival, the animals underwent initial veterinary examinations, were vaccinated and microchipped. They are currently under professional monitoring and receiving appropriate care.
