On 29 July 2026, the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body received a report from a citizen via its hotline at 119 regarding tree cutting at 26/2 Moldovakan Street in Yerevan.
Within the framework of administrative proceedings initiated by the Inspection Body, an inspection of the site revealed that a total of five trees had been cut in the vicinity of the mentioned address, including one mulberry tree and four juniper (biota) trees.
The damage caused to the flora was calculated at AMD 1,005,000 (one million five thousand).
Taking into account the factual circumstances established and the presence of apparent elements of a criminal offence, the Inspection Body submitted a report on the apparent offence to the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
