Illegal Water Abstraction at Fish Farm Suspended in Lori Province

Employees of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body identified violations at a fish farm owned by an individual entrepreneur in Saratovka settlement of Tashir community, Lori Province.

The operator, without the required water use permit, had been taking water needed for fish farming through a pipeline from a nearby stream, thereby illegally abstracting water from a surface water resource.

By decision of the Head of the Lori Territorial Division of the Inspection Body, the illegal water use was suspended and the pipeline was sealed.
