Illegal Logging in “Ijevan Forestry” Enterprise Caused Damage Worth 43 Million AMD

Based on information received by the National Security Service of Armenia, within the framework of a criminal case under investigation by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, employees of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body conducted inspections in the “Ijevan Forestry” Enterprise of the "ArmForest" SNCO, specifically in the 5th and 6th guard sections of the “Ijevan Forest Division” and the 5th and 6th guard sections of the “Khachardzan Forest Division.”

The inspections covered the period from August 2024 to July 2025. As a result, 693 illegally felled trees of various types and diameters were discovered and documented. The damage caused to the flora is estimated at 43,084,000 AMD.

The results of the inspection have been submitted to the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
