Today, Mr. Hovhannes Martirosyan, Head of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body, visited Yerevan’s Galust Gyulbenkyan High School No. 190 to meet with students and discuss the importance of environmental education.
The meeting took place in an active discussion format. Students expressed particular interest in topics such as waste recycling, air and water protection, renewable natural resources, and the impact of human and economic activities on the environment.
The Head of the Inspection Body stressed that environmental education is not just knowledge—it is a worldview based on responsibility, awareness, and care for nature. He emphasized that the environmental future of the country is in the hands of today’s youth.
This initiative is part of the Inspection Body’s environmental education program, which prioritizes shaping ecological thinking among the younger generation and fostering responsible behavior. The path to environmental protection starts with simple steps, formed through learning.
