In a series of regional outreach initiatives, the leadership of the Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body conducted working visits to Tavush and Lori regions on June 19–20. Deputy Heads Mr. V. Galoyan, Mr. V. Amirkhanyan, and Mr. L. Levonyan held meetings with community leaders, council members, and local residents in Dilijan, Noyemberyan, Alaverdi, and Stepanavan.
The discussions addressed pressing environmental and resource management issues, including: Prevention of illegal logging, Regulation of soil extraction, use, and transportation, Procedures for obtaining water use permits, Land designation and proper utilization, Effective management of landfills, Mitigation of river pollution from wastewater.
The leadership highlighted the importance of thoroughly assessing community-specific challenges and needs. This approach, they noted, is key to fostering constructive collaboration between residents and local self-government bodies.
